The Helicopter Line
The Helicopter Line is New Zealand’s leading helicopter operating company. Formed in 1986 when 3 separate helicopter companies combined, The Helicopter Line has grown to become the largest Kiwi owned Helicopter Company in New Zealand and the largest provider of scenic flights in the country.
The Helicopter Line fleet consists predominantly of AS350 Squirrels and are utilized for a variety of scenic flights, heli-skiing, private charter, and commercial work.
SPG has worked with The Helicopter Line for approximately thirteen years and has successfully obtained resource consents for helicopter arrivals and departures at many destinations throughout the Queenstown Lakes, Central Otago, and Westland Districts.
SPG has also worked with the The Helicopter Line to obtain the Department of Conservation Concessions necessary to operate within the conservation areas and National Parks of the lower South Island including but not limited to; Fiordland, Mt Aspiring, Westland, and Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park.
We have also successfully obtained Recreation Permits for The Helicopter Line scenic helicopter landings on High Country Pastoral Leases in the Queenstown Lakes District.

Mitre Peak Cruises has been offering day trips on Milford Sound for over 18-years. Offering regular two-hour trips through the fiord and out into the Tasman Sea, they give their guests the opportunity to enter Milford Sound from the outside, approaching it just as the first sealers did at the end of the 18th century.
